The Cure to Idiotic Republican Ideology = Education?

Yes it’s true, that college educated people were more likely to vote for Barack Obama, than unedumacated. What’s that tell me?

Fix our education system, and we’ll never have to deal with a Bush regime again.

Makes sense, the smarter our future generation, the more intelligent our Presidents will become. I mean look at Barack Obama. He’s an extremely sharp fellow. He definitely knows his p’s and q’s.

On the alternate side look at Bush and his alter-ego Sarah Palin. Bush can’t even say Nuclear, and Sarah Palin doesn’t know if Africa is a country or continent.

If Jay Leno came up to them and asked them rudimentary everyday questions, they would fail.

Apparently those who voted for them, would fail too. No offense but if you really think Obama is a terrorist, or believed what people told you on the right, then you need to be educated. You need to learn to get your news from both sides and choose which one is right based on all the facts.

I’d go as far to say that each person who graduates from college is a boon for the democratic party, just because they are more likely to be democrat. Not all of course, but more likely. So the cure? Lets get everyone to college!

  • you know, there are more choices than Obama and the "Bush regime". The time is 2012 for a third party to rise and replace the GOP, one that adheres to more traditional principles, such as anti-war (Robert A. Taft), anti inflationary monetary policy, and pro-constitution.

I consider myself fairly educated and did not vote for Obama.I see by your "about
page" you consider yourself a Christian, yet you'd vote for a President who so firmly
believes in abortion, have you ever walked into a Christian church that accepted abortion,
i doubt it.I do agree with your "Get out of Iraq, Less focus on rest of world more on building up our own society, also I believe congress shouldn’t be paid, and lobbying should be outlawed".If the dems ever elected someone who was against abortion I would totally consider voting for them.I would consider Universal Healthcare only if we could slow down illegal immigration or else you'd be looking at huge tax increases. The "educated" college kids who haven't been in the real world long enough,i.e. haven't held a real job or yet to have paid taxes are going to turn conservative overnight when the dems hike taxes over the next four years and it comes time to pay off your college loans while 60-70 cents of your(already depreciated)hard earn dollar goes to "spreading the wealth".Trust me,two years into Obama's Presidency you might get a troop reduction in Iraq and that will be the only change, which will be pathetic given that the democrats will have control of Congress, but hey their "educated",so educated that their approval rating is lower than Bush's as I finish typing this sentence.

  • @idyllicphilosophy: I'm a democrat who doesn't support abortion. Except in cases of incest and rape. I believe that we need to focus a lot more on education, and that those who do go through with an abortion should go through an 'awareness' course that advocates adoption and responsibility over abortion.

I also believe that parents should be notified at least 48 hours before. Also dems are not going to hike taxes. Fact Obama will lower taxes unless you're rich, or a corporation, I believe corporations are taking advantage of people who only earn $10 or less. I think people should be earning enough to actually live on and support a family on a single income.

The economy was great under clinton, and is a failure now as a result of failed policies and deregulation by reps. As for universal healthcare if slowing down immigration - I believe that we need to make immigration not the big issue - but have every illegal become papered and give them a certain time limit to be here to get their crap together. what should be illegal is immigrants getting paid under the table, and not paying taxes. They should also not receive any tax breaks, and companies should be prosecuted severely for using immigrants.

What we need is a system to make sure immigrants are paying taxes too - maybe even switching to a national sales tax with deductions for American citizens only, and based on income.
  • Nice try, but you are using revisionist history. In 2004 Bush got more votes from people with a bachelors degree although Kerry got more from people with a post graduate degree. People who had no high school education were slightly more likely to vote for Kerry.
