TNX – pronounced ‘thanx’, as in sms texting language is an up and coming Text-Link Exchange marketplace.

The premise behind TNX is that by increasing the amount of ‘quality’ links coming into your website, you will also increase your search engine rankings, and thus get more traffic.

It’s a good practice when using services like these not to disclose the fact that you are using them as google frowns at the practice. As a rebellious blogger though and not a fan of being told what I can / can’t do – I recommend giving them a try – both as a monetary source as well as a source for more traffic.

One thing I like is that they have a market where you can buy / sell / trade TNX points - you could also give them away in contests and what not. It’s like a liquid commodity, and personally I like them a lot better than Text-Link-Ads.

They do offer full-control over what kind of links are placed on your site, as well as what kind of sites your links show up on.

If you’re looking for an affordable method of ranking higher in google and a new way to make some money online go ahead and give TNX links a try – and when you’re done swing on over and let me know how well they’re working for you - I would also like some tips to share here on how to use them more effectively if you have any – feel free to leave a comment.

In Phase 1 of this project we had people submit their top 3 Pillar Articles. I’ve chosen my favorites out of what was submitted.

This is Phase 2. In Phase 2 we will create a blog post – linking to ALL of the top pillar articles.

Rules:

  1. You must write a blog post that somehow uses all the keywords and makes sense – the most creative blog posts will be featured in phase 3. Be creative – and remember it can be a story, an anecdote, a true story, a false story, it can be a sci-fi story, a horror story, etc etc etc…
  2. You MUST choose 2-3 keywords to link to that relate to each of the chosen pillar posts.
  3. You MUST link EVERY pillar blog post on the list.
  4. You MUST link back to this post, saying something similar to: “This post is part of Patrick’s April Blogging Project” – Please use your own wording for this link to really make an effect on SEO.
  5. You must submit a link to your post in the comments section of this post.

The Most Creative and Interesting Posts will be part of phase 3.

If you can’t tell this is an experiment in DEEP Linking, for seo purposes.

ALL who participate will benefit with increased traffic, and search engine rankings – when I release Phase 3 of this experiment.

All Submissions must be submitted by May 1st.

Here are the Posts to link to:

I’d like to take a moment and say thanks to all those who submitted their pillar articles, if I didn’t choose your article it isn’t personal, these are just the ones that stood out the most. I am greatful that you took the time to view this site and follow my meanderings.

Internal linking, is one of the given tools in an seo-masters’ toolbox.

Internal linking is essential for building pagerank, and adding umph to your search engine optimization.

Why Give Yourself some Link Love?

1. First off it helps your visitors find more useful information on your blog, and builds credibility and stickyness.

2. Robots, often count how many pages link to a page, even giving weight to links coming from your own domain. The more links the better, plus it gives them an easy way of finding the links.

What’s the Best Way to Build Internal Links?

You could easily keep a list of all your blog postings, and key in each link by hand. That of course would be the hard way, if you’re one of those bloggers, (And I know you’re reading this)… who like to invent the wheel, or do things the hardway, by all means, start manually linking up content.

For the rest of you, there’s a cool wordpress plugin that makes it easy. It’s called The aLinks plugin for Wordpress.

You can watch this cool video also about Self-Link’in or view it over at 45n5:
