25Mar Do you ever google yourself? (Sounds naughty, doesn’t it?)

I have a question.

Have you ever googled yourself, to see what all is out there on you?

John Chow(393,000 results) and Darren Rowse(180,000) are huge names, they’ve branded themselves and you can find thousands of pages on them. (Be sure when googling a name to enclose it in “quotations” so it searches for the exact name).

Have you thought of branding yourself? I personally try to use my name as often as possible. I use it as my username on most social networks, etc… It’s even my twitter id.

I’d like to see how people rank for their names in the search engines - are you popular or famous? Go ahead and tell me what your google results are. I think this would be a fun experiment. My Google results are: 6,090. It’s no Darren or John, but its a nice start!

By the way - I think it’s funny that JohnChow has so many listings, but JohnCOW actually is ranked #1 for the term ‘John Chow’. Funny, huh?
