07Apr Summer Roadtrip: 50 States. 50+ Bloggers. 50 Days!
My wife and I are planning on going on a roadtrip - to visit the top Blogger(s) in ALL 50 states. This is going to be a HUGE Blog promotion. Â
Our Goal: Find & Interview the most popular / successful bloggers from all 50 states. (We might even choose 2 for some states. We will be doing an interview via text, audio, and video. If you prefer not to do audio/video that’s fine as well.

Photo Coureoousy of Hometown Invasion.
If we choose your blog, you will receive:
- Permanent Blogroll Link.
- Your interview will be taken in video, audio, and text formats - in order to gain the highest exposure. They will be submitted to ALL video / ipod networks.
- You will also receive exposure in many blog posts leading upto the roadtrip.
What we need to make this a success:
Currently, our resources are a bit limited, as we are a new and growing blog. Donations via paypal would be greatly appreciated - they can be sent to: yourstruly AT patrickcurl.com - or you can click the button on the sidebar(Note: Paypal just doesn’t play fair with wordpress posts / pages) .
All donations of $20 or more will receive a 100+ word review. All donations of $40 will receive a 300+ word review. All donations of $60 or more will receive a 500 word review, and a 6 month link on a blogroll labeled “Roadtrip Sponsors”.
Before we go we’re trying to raise enough money to buy a laptop, and a new video camera. If you would like to sponsor or donate one of those to us - we would make sure you’re on the list of stops, as well as receive a 1000 word review, and a permanent link on our Blogroll.
We could also use help in promoting this - if you could write a blog post about it, we would really appreciate it. Who knows - we may choose to stop by and interview you!
We are going to be doing a blog post each day, seeking bloggers from each 50 states - so stay tuned if you’re interested in being a part of this!
Other ways you can help us out:
- Follow us on Twitter.
- Subscribe to this blog.
- Add me to your facebook friends.
- Blog about this Promotion.
- Send a link to this post to all of your twitter friends.
- Bookmark this post.
- Digg this post.
- Stumble this post.
- Sphinn this post.
- etc… Do anything possible to get the word out. The more people we have in on this, the more exciting this will be. We may also visit a few locations on our way, and do mini-interviews on a bunch of bloggers.
PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT on THIS PAGE - IF YOU’RE RECOMMENDING A BLOG TO VISIT. I will be putting up a page for each state by letter, please comment on that state, and I will choose the best blogs from each state. (1 letter per day, actually.) Please do feel free to comment on your thoughts of this program.
I’m also thinking of having EACH Blogger contribute a ‘Souvenire’(spell?) and having a big contest when we get back. Let me know your thoughts. Comments are greatly appreciated!

28Mar Patrick’s Star Search - Looking for Some Guest Bloggers!
NOW HIRING: GUEST BLOGGERS - DRIVE TRAFFIC TO YOUR BLOGS!
Here’s how this works.
I want everyone reading this to send me their very best blog posts. If the post is something I think I’d like to publish, I will send you an email, and let you know when I will be publishing it.
I will of course provide a byline for you to mention your blog. On top of that, I will add you to my blogroll. On top of that I will give you a full-fledged graphic intense Blog Review, worth at least $40.
If I decide NOT to use your blog - I will STILL write up a 1-paragraph review of your blog(and post it with 3-5 other mini-reviews).
This blog is about to break the 100 subscribers mark. I have 1400 followers on twitter, and 600 friends on friendfeed who will see each post. This blog gets 1000 hits per day(at least it has been for the past 2 weeks.) My alexa ranking hasn’t caught up since the traffic is new, but it will catch up, very quick.
Main Criteria of Blog Posts:
1. Must be along the theme of this blog, which is technology, blogging, making money online, gadgets, social networks, twitter, social media, etc…
2. The blog post must have never been posted else where.
This is a very good way to gain some added exposure, and begin building your brand.
Please send all entries to: patrickwcurl at gmail dot com.
Update & Clarification: I am looking for the best of the best posts - they need to never have been published elsewhere, and if I choose not to use your post - I will let you know, and you can post them on your blog, and I will link to all of the Honorable Mentions.

15Mar About
Patrick Curl is the main Author of this blog.
Patrick has been inspired by many great bloggers, including the ones in his blogroll at the side. He believe’s wholeheartedly that a man who believes hard enough in his goal, works hard, and keeps a positive attitude, can achieve anything he sets out to do.
Many will argue that circumstance plays a big roll, but when you look at the greats(Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, The Wright Brothers, Leonardo Divinci, Michaelangelo, Galileo, even Jesus), they all came from different circumstances, some humble, some poor, some affluent, some had an easy life, some a harsh one. The thing that sticks out for them, the key to their success was their perserverence.
All of them failed many many times except one(at least by belief-system, as I’m a Christian - I of course allow you your own beliefs / opinions), the brilliant thing about each person, is that no matter how many times they experienced failure, they kept at it. No matter how hard things seemed, or how painful it got, they kept at it.
The key to being successful, is overcoming failure, in order to be successful you must be a failure first, we can’t learn to ride a bike without falling a few times first.
More about Patrick Curl:

Political: I’d say Progressive, alas the Democrat party best fits my desires(My major issues: Universal Healthcare, Get out of Iraq, Less focus on rest of world more on building up our own society, also I believe congress shouldn’t be paid, and lobbying should be outlawed - as Congressmen are public servants and so are police, and if you bribe a cop you get in big trouble.)
