I was just listening to a video on MSNBC Brian Williams talking to a reporter who had been reporting in Iran.
He has since been kicked out – unable to renew his press visa. He has said that people are using twitter and other social media networks to organize in Iran. Apparently Iran has locked down much of the internet but some have been able to still use social media.
I must say personally I’m routing for the revolting reformers. I’d like to see a free-er Iran. I think this is very interesting and will keep watching to see what happens.
Do you think the Cairo Effect (ie Obama’s speech in Cairo, Egypt a week ago) had any effect on the election and revolting in Iran?
I’d love to see a statistical diagram of how many people that speech has influenced, I thought it was a very well spoken speech. Whether you like or Obama or not, you can’t deny that he has an extraordinary oratorical skillset.
