As a consumer bankruptcy attorney I would like to emphasize that we must have compassion for those who file bankruptcy. Darren’s filing if nothing else shows how volatile the online marketplace is. Anyone who depends on income from a good Google placement should consider that it could all change one day. From the other reports it appears that Darren was struggling for quiet some time. My experience as a bankruptcy attorney is that people only come to me once they have struggled for a while trying to turn around, but eventually having to give up. On the bright side for Darren perhaps it should be noted that if he used his credit cards for business expenses and those business debts constitute more than 50% of his total indebtedness then he is exempt from the Chapter 7 means test which makes it easier to file.

You’re correct about time zones, but I (wrongly) assumed that most people set their article posting times to be in their local time zone.

It’s not that some people read the article on March 31st, but that your own post was dated incorrectly for your own time zone.

Still, you’re not the only one.
