This graphic from Pingdom (via Rotorblog), shows how Google was once a lowly start-up in a Yahoo world. Now look at our little Google, all grown up..well a teenager at any rate. It goes to show how a company with a real vision can truly climb to the heights of success, just look how Google has grown since it opened back in 1998. I'm excited to see what the next ten years will be like on the internet.
Speaking of growing up, you should check out this video of Eric Schmidt Google's Ceo, nearly 12 years before Google, it's definitely an eye opener! What a Nerd!

That is amazing. I remember when Google started to become common place in 1998. I held out for awhile and stuck with AltaVista for my seaches, but I eventually switched over.

Alta who? lol I must say I was a yahoo fan, and possibly netscape. I still remember when a friend mentioned google, as their favorite search engine, and it had a simple sleek interface. I kept using it though, and since then I feel like google is an extension of my own brain... if my mind is thinking of something all i need to do to expand my horizon is google it.
It's truly amazing, but in many ways scary, google may be one company that single-handedly can control the entire fate and shape of the internet. The next decade will definitely prove interesting on the interweb.
