I actually wrote a blog post similar to this on clickconsultants.com recently. I seen this blog post in my reader and went "wow, I'm not the only one thinking it" :)

You're definitely right. A lot of times, bloggers think that their design is ok as a free theme that 20+ other blogs related to their topic which is completely false. Setting yourself apart is a big part of becoming a large name in the blogging game, so the design is a great part of it.

Great post! I stumbled it :)

A well thought out article.

As far as what I think--You want me to be honest?

The Good:
1. The colors
2. The content
3. This theme is a lot better than the old one.

The Bad:
1. It's too cluttered.
2. The grid is not consistent at the top of the page (at least in Safari). It causes an uneasiness about visiting your site.

The Ugly (maybe absurd is a better word):
1. What do birds have to do with blogs in soup?

Hope these comments help you.
