According to noaa.com and usgs.gov, two earthquakes shook dallas texas last night on October 30th at 11:30 Pm, and the other at 12:01 am this morning.

The first texas earthquake shook it up at a 2.5 magnitude. The second dallas earthquake came in at 3.0 on the ricter scale.

These earthquakes were strongest in the Irving and Grand Prairie areas.

For those lucky enough not to ever been through earthquakes, a 3.0 feels like a light truck passing by, just a sharp jerk, and some vibrating.

Personally, I blame the Dallas earthquake on Texas’s support of John Mccain, lol.

  • I blame it on Rick Perry, the prick (our Governor) pushing through the Trans-Texas corridor. Texas' support for McCain comes from Texas overall being a state that advocates personal responsibility and anti-welfarism, and anti-big government, hence no state income tax (and almost every public project being paid for with cash rather than deficit financing, like most other states). Now, that doesn't mean I support McCain. I voted for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party. I voted for Ron Paul in the primaries. They advocate the smallest, most efficient government possible, one that is for the people and not for furthering its own agenda.
Personally, I think a shift toward socialism with Obama is a dangerous one. Like Karl Rove said, (as much as I despise Rove), hiking taxes on the rich to distribute 500 or 1000 dollar checks to people who aren't even tax liable is not only a socialistic move, but discourages the wealthy from providing jobs, which is a far more efficient trickle-down of wealth than forced redistribution. If the income tax was eliminated today, we would only move back to revenue levels of year 2000, at the end of the Clinton administration. (only maybe 30% less than now) No liberals complained back then, in fact they were quite happy. So why do we need the income tax now? It only allows the government to be bloated and inefficient. If the income tax were eliminated, it would create so many jobs and disposable income that the economy would absolutely explode. It would encourage small business growth and boost GDP. And finally, it would force the government to cut wasteful spending and useless programs/departments and operate under a budget (GASP!!!).
