You've made some very good points. I am involved in a network marketing business and I agree that the low startup costs, tax benefits, and compensation plan are all great incentives to work hard and defy the odds. MLM is no magic bullet but has been proven over the last 50 years to be a legitimate and sound business model, albeit an unorthodox one. Those with an open mind and drive to succeed should definitely keep their options open. The economy is in tatters and job security is scarse. Working for yourself can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Residual income is a hallmark of the majority of MLM business opportunities and is a great way to reap rewards long after your initial investment of time and effort and the efforts of those you recruit to duplicate your actions. Success!

@MLDina: No problem - I’ve only been with MarketLeverage a short time, but I’m very satisfied not only with the money, ad programs but the customer service is probably the best of any aff network I’ve ever been in.

@Justin: I won’t be doing posts that will only appear for newsletter subscribers - Garry Conn does have a script though that does that - he charges $1 for top articles, and gives it free to newsletter subscribers — I will be putting together a PDF ebook every week or two, and blog aobut it - and offer it to my newsletter subscribers.

The great thing about MLM is that everyone starts out at the same level. Those who work hard and build a large organization get compensated well. Those who do nothing, get nothing. If you are promoting a product/service that everyone needs and therefore won't have to change their buying habits for, you're gold. Recession-proof with residual income. Network marketing is definitely not for everyone, but for those who are willing to do whatever it takes to be successful in good and bad times (there will be both!) there is a good chance of getting big rewards. Cheers!
