Just when you thought people were more tolerant… “Hit a Jew Day!”

Sounds like a republican holiday..JK..

No this is not being made up. Several sixth graders at Parkway West Middle School began an unofficial spirit week, this week.

It started out innocent enough with “Hug a friend day”. But that’s where the niceties stopped.

Then there was “hit a tall person day”, and finally ending with Nazi sentiments by launching “Hit a Jew Day”…

My question is how Teachers could let this happen, surely they should’ve known something was up, especially by the end of the “hit a tall person” day.

You’d think some teacher would get wind that it was “Hit a Jew Day”, after all kids say the darndest things, don’t they? Please tell me, kids still say the darndest things!

I’d also like you to tell me Santa and the tooth fairy are real.

The students who hit the Jewish student could face suspensions and counseling. Other students that participated in taunting the Jewish kids, will receive lesser penalties.

I think this would be a good time to show some really disturbing and graphic movies on the holocaust. Open their eyes to the dangers of racism.
