In the infinite search for information, consumers want a fast and convenient method to feed their thirst
for knowledge. Today’s website content has to capture and hold the attention of a visitor within the first
few seconds to be successful at conversion, product marketing, and, brand recognition. This is also true
for SEO link building techniques. Why build a bridge to nowhere? The key to effective website
optimization is to implement a quality link building strategy that works around the clock to establish a
substantial internet presence using consistent techniques across all channels.

SEO Link Building Tip #1: Optimization

You must first find the optimization tool that fits well into your website marketing and link

building plan to be successful.
Typically, internet marketers engage the website optimization methods that consistently deliver a
measurable traffic stream or add to their prospective pipeline. As an internet marketing strategy, SEO
link building techniques
are commonly used to improve website visibility to gain to increase the prominence of a webpage within the search results.

SEO Link Building Tip #2: Link Building Tools

While easy site navigation, quick load times, and appealing visuals are all simple ways to make a website
stand out, it’s not enough to drive continuous traffic. Effectively using link building tools is one of the
top methods to optimize resources with fellow internet marketers by supporting each other with
various win-win joint ventures. There are essentially 6 effective link building tools that can catapult your
website visibility which include partnerships, social profiling, cross linking, content marketing, link
baiting, and banner link exchanges. These forms can all lead to increased SEO traffic while improving
your link popularity with increased inbound links, reciprocal links, and various link exchange
opportunities.

SEO Link Building Tip #3: Content Distribution

Content marketing involves strategically distributing your web content or information. Obviously you
want to look for consistent ways to build link popularity with content designed for e-mail marketing,
social, mobile, and related industry white papers or article sharing. These are either online or offline
marketing sources in which the main idea is to direct relevant traffic to your site from one starting point,
creating multiple inbound links. Similarly, contests, interviews, crowdsourcing, infographics, and guest
posting are all examples of link baiting which focus on popular and highly visual information and content
designed to trigger interest around specific topics.

SEO Link Building Tip #4: Gaining Inbound Links

The best form of link building is the creation of inbound links which are handled differently from
reciprocal links in that these links point in only one direction, from one site to yours, with no
reciprocation. You can gain inbound links in many ways including social profiling, community forums or
company blogs. These links are far more important than any other link process as it is a determining
factor in how Google measures page ranks, accounting for up to 42% of a website’s placement. Thus, it
should be a major component in your link building strategy. A reciprocal link is when someone links to

your site and your site links back to their site in turn. These types of links are a very common form of
linking, especially among sites with similar content and subject matter.

SEO Link Building Tip #5: Link Exchange

Partnerships and link exchange programs tailored specifically to a target audience are very effective as a
link building strategy as all parties have a vested interest and similar goal. Generally, two or more non-
competing, affiliated websites agree to promote or exchange links on the other’s website. For example,
a hair salon website may exchange links with a spa service or clothing store but not another salon or a
non-affiliated pet store. Banner link exchanges are similar to regular link partnerships, and are usually
traded or engaged as a pay per click campaign. They are also very effective and typically only presented
visually to a target with expressed interests. The banners are strategically rotated to ensure relevant
traffic is directed back to the site as an inbound link.

As building links in general is a huge part of SEO tactics these methods often lead to more opportunities
resulting in an overall successful internet marketing plan. Finally, do not overlook the old tried and true,
more established internet marketing tools like placing your website address on your marketing materials
and obviously cross linking pages between similar websites owned by the same company.

Patrick, Thank you for sharing these SEO linking strategies. There isn't a day that goes by that I'm doing these. Some others I have found to work are creating PDF documents out of my articles (spun of course) and include baclklinks and submit them to document sites like http://www.scribd.com/ and http://www.docstoc.com/ also create a PR article and submitting it out to PR sites. Both pretty low cast to free to do. Thank you and keep up the great posts. Sean
